Vortex Optics Vortex Defender

Vortex Defender is a line of pistol micro red dots with a 7075 aluminium body, a ShockShield polymer insert that absorbs recoil and Fast-Rack texturing for racking the slide off any surface. Motion activation, 10-minute auto-off, 10 daylight + 2 NV settings and the unlimited lifetime VIP warranty.

Defender-CCW is the ultralight (27 g) concealed-carry model with a Shield RMSc footprint – Glock 43X/48 MOS, Hellcat, Shield Plus, P365. Defender-ST is the all-round model with a DeltaPoint Pro footprint for pistols, shotguns and carbine offset mounts, with a top-load battery. Both come with a 3 MOA or 6 MOA dot.

The Enclosed Solar versions shield the emitter from water and debris, add a D-TEC solar panel with up to 150,000 h runtime, a 3 MOA / 32 MOA multi-reticle and button lockout.

CCW or ST?
CCW is smaller and lighter for slim pistols (RMSc); ST is tougher with a DPP footprint for full-size pistols, shotguns and carbines.
3 MOA or 6 MOA?
6 MOA is faster to find – the carry choice; 3 MOA is more precise at distance.
Open or enclosed?
Enclosed protects the LED from rain and lint and adds solar and multi-reticle; open is lighter and cheaper.
What is the VIP warranty?
Vortex's unlimited, unconditional lifetime warranty – repair or replace regardless of cause.
Remove the sight to change the battery?
Not on ST (top-load) or enclosed versions (side); yes on the open CCW.
