CAT – a red dot on a magnet

CAT Aiming Devices is an Argentinian maker that invented a patented magnetic mounting system for pistol red dots. It solves a real problem: a red dot on a Glock or Shadow 2 without milling the slide or buying a new MOS gun.

How the magnetic mount works

• The rear sight is the anchor. The factory rear sight is replaced by the CAT two-dot rear sight with a special tail; the aluminium platform with a neodymium magnet locks onto it. The sight takes recoil mechanically, the magnet holds the platform to the slide, so zero holds after removing and refitting.
• SM2 – the complete kit with a 3 MOA red dot for Glocks with a 25.5 mm slide, for slim Glock 43/43X/48 models and for the CZ Shadow 2.
• GEN3 DUTY – the newer duty generation with added safety pins. We sell it with an integrated 3 MOA red dot or as a bare platform with an RMR footprint for your own optic. Versions for the 25.5 mm slide (Glock 17, 19, 19X and others) and the 22.5 mm slim Glock slide.

Who it is for

Owners of Gen 3 and Gen 4 Glocks without MOS and of a Shadow 2 without the OR cut who want to try red-dot shooting with no irreversible work, and shooters who switch between red dot and irons by discipline. Check your slide width before ordering; the 25.5 mm and 22.5 mm platforms are not interchangeable.
