Magpul ASAP QD - Ambidextrous Sling Attachment Point QD - Black
Magpul – a competitor we are happy to sell
Magpul was founded in 1999 by Richard Fitzpatrick, a former US Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance sergeant, and takes its name from its first product – a rubber loop for pulling magazines out of pouches. Today it is one of the largest polymer accessory makers and the originator of the M-LOK standard. In parts of its range Magpul competes head-on with brands we represent or have represented for twenty years. We carry it anyway, because Magpul slings and sling hardware are simply good and we use their AR-15 magazines ourselves. We deliberately do not mirror the whole catalogue – availability of "everything" Magpul is not always cheerful.
What we stock from Magpul
- MS1 – a two-point sling with fast length adjustment through a single slider.
- MS3 GEN2 – converts between single-point and two-point. The Multi Mission version has two Paraclip hooks; the Single QD version has a QD swivel on one end.
- MS4 GEN2 – same logic, but with QD swivels on both ends. If your gun has QD sockets, take the MS4; the QDM version uses lightened swivels.
- Sling hardware – ASAP and ASAP QD (an AR-15 end plate with an ambidextrous attachment point), the RSA for Picatinny rails, an M-LOK QD mount, Paraclip adapters, and a sling loop with QD port.
- M-LOK foregrips – the angled AFG and the lightweight vertical MVG.
- WCK Wire Control Kit for routing a light switch cable along an M-LOK handguard.
Who it is for
Magpul slings are universal and go on an AR-15 as readily as a vz. 58, AK, Krinkov, Galil, SKS or Heckler & Koch rifle – only the attachment differs. The MS3 and MS4 suit a shooter who transitions to a pistol and wants the rifle hanging free in single-point mode; the MS1 is for stable two-point carry over a long day. The grips and WCK are for any gun with an M-LOK handguard.
What to watch for
Magpul slings ship without attachment hardware, so budget for the mounts separately. A Paraclip needs an open loop or eyelet, a QD swivel needs a QD socket – on the vz. 58 and AK that usually means a Picatinny rail mount or an M-LOK slot on the handguard.
