Technical Specifications
The EOTECH HWS EXPS3 DCR is an operator-grade holographic weapon sight featuring the exclusive Danger Close Reticle (DCR) , designed for fast and accurate engagement at both close-quarters and long-range distances . Built on the EXPS platform , it offers true two-eyes-open shooting , night vision compatibility , and a 7mm raised quick-detach base for lower 1/3 iron sight co-witness .
The DCR Reticle is an innovative adaptation of the traditional speed ring circle/dot reticle , specifically designed to address point of aim (POA) and point of impact (POI) shift during close engagements. It maintains the 68 MOA width , but with a modified design — the top portion of the ring is removed for a clearer sight picture , while the bottom is replaced with a highly visible chevron . This chevron compensates for height-over-bore adjustments , ensuring deadly precision in close-quarters engagements .
With a .223/5.56 rifle zeroed at 50 yards , the DCR provides three precise aiming points :
- A 7-yard chevron for close-range engagements
- A primary dot zeroed for 50/200 yards
- A reliable 200-yard long-distance aiming solution
With 20 daylight brightness settings and 10 additional night vision settings (compatible with Gen I through III+ night vision devices), the EXPS3 DCR ensures adaptability for any lighting condition .
