The DPM Mechanical Recoil Reduction System for the 1911 5" "Bushing Only" is a direct replacement for the stock recoil rod and does not alter the pistol’s configuration. This system utilizes a multi-spring intricate rod (3 springs) to manage the recoil and functionality of the pistol. The third spring within the rod helps control the slide movement, preventing it from ramming into the frame.
