The DPM Mechanical Recoil Reduction System for the 1911 6" Barrel & Clones "Bushing ONLY" is a direct replacement for the stock recoil rod and requires no modifications to the pistol. The system uses a multi-spring intricate rod (3 springs) to control recoil, with a third spring inside the rod to manage the slide’s movement, ensuring it doesn’t slam into the frame.
